1.       Vacancy Appointments to the Public Liaison Advisory Committee (PLAC) [See BOD Pkt. Pgs. 2-3] .. Tomyn

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends the ratification of the appointment of Christopher Cowart, Levy County School Board to serve on the Public Liaison Advisory Committee effective immediately.

2.       PLAC - Ratification of Membership for 2018-19 School Year [See BOD Pkt. Pgs. 4-5] .. Tomyn

RECOMMENDED ACTION:   The Executive Director recommends the ratification of the PLAC membership for 2018-19 as submitted.

3.       Public Liaison Advisory Committee (PLAC) Annual Report for the 2017-18 School Year [See BOD Pkt. Pgs. 6-9] … Niblett/Pallman

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends acceptance of the PLAC Annual Report for the 2017-18 school year for submission to the education committees of the Florida House of Representatives, the Senate and the Commissioner of Education.

4.        Paragon Agreements – 2018 Geico State Champions—Football [See BOD Pkt. pgs. 10-25] …Tomyn

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends Paragon Marketing Group agreements as presented, allowing the football season to be lengthened and any other necessary waivers granted for anymember school who qualifies for their annual football bowl series taking place December 21-22, 2018.

5.        Paragon Agreements – 2019 Geico Nationals—Basketball [See BOD Pkt. pgs. 26-38] …Tomyn

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends approval of Paragon Marketing Group agreements as presented, allowing up to two boys’ and two girls’ Basketball teams from Florida, if they qualify, to have their school’s basketball season lengthened and any other necessary waivers in order to participate in a nationally televised tournament April 4 - 6, 2019.

6.        Report of Finance Committee … Dodd

a.  Annual Financial Report for FHSAA, Inc. for Fiscal Year 2017-18 [See BOD Pkt. pgs. 39-55] … Waters

The Annual Financial Report consists of the combined balance sheet for FHSAA, Inc., and FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc., and accompanying revenue and expense details as well as supplementary information for the General Fund for the fiscal year 2017-18, ending on June 30, 2018. 

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Executive Director recommends approval of the Annual Financial Report for fiscal year 2017-18, ending on June 30, 2018, as presented.

b.  Budget for fiscal year 2018-19 for FHSAA, Inc. [See BOD Pkt. pgs. 56-63] … Waters

    The Board adopted a Tentative Budget in June, and the Final Budget for the FHSAA, Inc. for the 2018-19 fiscal year is provided.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:   The Executive Director recommends approval of the Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19 as presented.

President will recess the general business meeting and convene the meeting of the FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc.

c.    Annual Financial Report for FHSAA, Land Corporation, Inc. for Fiscal Year 2018-19 [See BOD Pkt. pgs. 64-67] … Waters

     The Annual Financial Report including revenue and expense details for the Capital Fund for Fiscal Year 2018-19, ending June 30, 2018, is provided.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:   The Executive Director recommends approval of the Annual Financial Report for the FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc., as presented.

d.    FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc., Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19 [See BOD Pkt. pgs. 68-70] … Waters

     The Board adopted a Tentative Budget in June, and the Final Budget for the FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc., (Capital Fund) for 2018-19 fiscal year is provided.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:  The Executive Director recommends approval of the FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc., Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19 as presented.

President will adjourn the meeting of the FHSAA Land Corporation, Inc., and reconvene the general business meeting.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:    The Executive Director recommends full co-sponsorship by the Board of Directors of each proposal as presented.

b.    Bylaw Proposal by member school representatives for the October 2018 Representative Assembly [See BOD Pkt. pgs. 77-81] … Damon

RECOMMENDED ACTION:    The Executive Director does not endorse these proposals and recommends that the Board of Directors, likewise, not endorse these proposals.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:    The Executive Director does not endorse these proposals and recommends that the Board of Directors, likewise, not endorse these proposals.
