Board votes to change Fall Sports start date

GAINESVILLE, FL(7/27/20) - The FHSAA Board of Directors at their July 23rd Board Meeting voted, 11-4 in favor of postponing the start date of fall sports until August 24th.  The FHSAA staff will be working to come up with alternate plans for the 2020-21 school year and will present such plan(s) to the Board for approval at a Board of Directors Meeting to be held the week of  August 10th.  With the postponement of the fall season start date, please be advised that the Summer Athletic Participation Policy (Policy 20) is still in effect until August 24th or such a date in which fall sports resume.
