2020 Governance Election Final Results: Finlayson and Gerdes Re-elected to FHSAA Board of Directors

In FHSAA governance elections that took place the during the weeks of April 16th to May 8th, Richard Finlayson, principal at Aucilla Christian (Monticello), and John Gerdes, athletic director at Clearwater Central Catholic were re-elected to the Board of Directors for an additional term. The Section 2 Public school seat for the Board of Directors will be filled by Jeff McLean, athletic director at Merritt Island who won in a run-off election.

In other elections conducted; John Sgromolo, Ridgeview High School athletic director awas elected to his respective Section Appeals Committees in Section 1. The remaining sectional appeals committee seats were all elected via run-off elections as well: Section 2 will be filled by Donnie Tucker, athletic director at Forest High School (Ocala); Section 3 will be filled by Thomas Kenna, athletic director at Cape Coral High School;  and, Section 4 will be Ernest Robinson, athletic director at Palmer Trinity (Miami).  

Several elections for the FHSAA Representative Assembly were also conducted.  Attached is a list of the final election results for each of the governance positions that were up for election.
