FHSAA Announces Five Finalists for the Seventh Annual Sunshine State Spirit Showdown Contest

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) announced the five finalists for the seventh-annual Sunshine State Spirit Showdown. The goal of this competition is to allow schools to promote positive sportsmanship and to discover the best student section in Florida. Last year, Lake Howell High School was crowned champions after submitting this video.

 

Beginning on February 10, fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite video. Voting will conclude on February 24th at 5 p.m. The FHSAA’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will meet on March 9th to evaluate the submissions. The winner will be decided by social media fan votes and the FHSAA’s SAAC evaluation. The winner will be announced on March 10th. The winner shall receive a plaque and banner from FHSAA.

The finalists’ videos will be featured on the FHSAA’s YouTube channel and will be shared through the FHSAA’s social media. Fans have the ability to vote on their favorite video submission using the JotForm link that will appear at the bottom of each video.

·         Bishop Kenny

·         Lake Howell

·         Lake Minneola

·         Palmetto Ridge
