Florida High School Tennis State Championships to remain in Seminole County through 2022

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (10/2/19) – The Florida High School Athletic Association and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission have reached an agreement for Seminole County to continue serving as host of the Florida High School Tennis State Championships through the 2022 school year. Sanlando Park, Red Bug Lake Park and Sylvan Lake Park will each remain the designated host sites.

“On behalf of our partners at Orlando North Seminole County, Seminole County Leisure Services, and our regional hoteliers, we are pleased to extend our agreement with the FHSAA as Seminole County continues to serve as home for the Boys and Girls Tennis State Championships through 2022,” said Jason Siegel, CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. “We look forward to creating an incredibly positive experience for the participating teams as we welcome their coaches, student-athletes and families from around the State of Florida for many years to come.”

"Together, Seminole County and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission have consistently provided a tremendous championship event experience for our student-athletes at each of these three complexes."

The 2020 state tennis tournament is scheduled for April 27 – May 1, with four classification tournaments played over two separate three-day periods. 2021 dates are scheduled for April 26-30 and 2022 dates are April 25-29.
