FHSAA Board of Directors Meeting Recap: April 29, 2019

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - In its penultimate meeting of the 2018-2019 school year, the Florida High School Athletic Association’s (FHSAA) Board of Directors approved changes to many of its policies at its April 29 meeting.

Policies 13 and and 37 were approved with amended language.

Policies 4, 19 and 31 did not pass. They were pulled for further discussion and will be voted on against at the next Board of Directors meeting (June 10-11).

Regarding the Board itself, Plant High School Athletic Director Lauren Otero was reelected to her respective role for a second term. Florida Department of Education Chancellor of Public Schools Jacob Oliva was also appointed to the Board by Commissioner Corcoran.
