FHSAA Announces Eight Finalists for the Sixth Annual Sunshine State Spirit Showdown Contest

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) announced the eight finalists for the sixth-annual Sunshine State Spirit Showdown. The mission of this contest is to allow schools to promote positive sportsmanship and seek the best student section in Florida. Last year, Choctawhatchee High School (Fort Walton Beach) was crowned champions after submitting this video.

Starting on February 11, fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite video. Voting will conclude on February 25th at 5 p.m. The FHSAA’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will meet on March 11th to evaluate the submissions. The winner will be decided by social media fan votes and the FHSAA’s SAAC and announced on March 12.

The finalist’s videos will be featured on the FHSAA YouTube channel and will be shared through the FHSAA Twitter and Facebook. Beginning February 11, fans have the ability to vote on their favorite submission using the Survey Monkey link that will appear at the bottom of each video.
