FHSAA Director of Eligibility Mike Colby to Retire

After a 45 year career that included 35 years of public school education and ten years with the FHSAA, Michael Colby is set to retire in June.  Mr. Colby served as a teacher, coach and athletic administrator at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School for 35 years, before leaving Miami-Dade County Public Schools to join the FHSAA staff.  Prior to joining the FHSAA, Colby served two different sets of terms on the FHSAA Athletic Directors Advisory Committee, two terms on the FHSAA Section 4 Sectional Appeals Committee, three terms on the FHSAA Representative Assembly and on the FHSAA Handbook Revision Task Force; serving as Chairperson, at some point, for each.  For the past 10 years he has served as the Director of Eligibility for the FHSAA.  Mike will remain in the Gainesville area after retirement.
