2010 FHSAA Wrestling Championships
FHSAA wrestling program notice (8/31)

During the previous four (4) years of the FHSAA/NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) partnership to administer the weight management program, the $30.00 per-school membership fee has been sponsored and paid for by an anonymous donor in Florida. Currently, that sponsorship is not secured for the upcoming 2009-10 wrestling season.  

Please be aware that the $30 annual membership fee will be billed in October to each FHSAA member school with a wrestling program unless a wrestling sponsor can be secured by the FHSAA or NWCA.  The FHSAA and NWCA will continue to seek a wrestling sponsor to cover these fees, but wanted to notify each FHSAA member school with a wrestling program accordingly.  We appreciate your support of FHSAA wrestling.

District Tournaments
When: Monday, Feb. 1-Saturday, Feb. 6
Where: listing of sites
Admission: Two sessions, $5.00 per session; one session, $6.00
Schedule: Weigh-ins, 8 a.m.; Seeding Meeting, 9:30 a.m.; First Round competition, 10 a.m.; Consolation competition, 6 p.m.; Championship Finals, 7 p.m.

Regional Tournaments
When: Friday, Feb. 12-Saturday, Feb. 13

Admission: $6.00 per session
Schedule:
• Friday – Weigh-ins, 10 a.m.; Preliminaries, Wrestlebacks (First & Second Rounds), Noon
• Saturday – Weigh-ins, 8 a.m.; Semifinals, 10 a.m.; Wrestlebacks (Third & Fourth Rounds), 12:30 p.m.; Consolation/Championship Finals (2 mats), 6 p.m.

• Thursday, Feb. 18 – Scales avaliable, 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Roll arounds, 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Coaches pick up packets, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
• Friday, Feb. 19 – Mandatory coaches meeting, online; Weigh-ins, 8 a.m.; Coaches pick up packets (weigh-in area), 8 a.m.; Arena opens, 9 a.m.; First Round competition, 10 a.m.; Arena opens, 45 minutes after First Round; Wrestlebacks (First Round), following first round; Second Round Competition, following first round of wrestlebacks; Wrestlebacks (Second Round, following second round of competition)
