Kissimmee To Host 2018 Florida High School Dual and Individual Wrestling State Championships

GAINESVILLE, FL (8/23/17) –The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) announced today that both the 2018 Florida High School Dual Wrestling State Championships and the 2018 Florida High School Wrestling State Championships will take place in Kissimmee.

The team event will take place Jan. 19-20 at Osceola High School, while the individual event will be held March 2-3 at Silver Spurs Arena. Tickets for both events purchased in advance at FHSAA.org are $9 per session, with tickets at the gate costing $12.

“I want to publicly thank both Experience Kissimmee and the Osceola County School District for making this possible,” FHSAA Executive Director George Tomyn said. “It was important for us to keep wrestling in Kissimmee due to its centralized location and the popularity of wrestling within its community.”

Both contracts are for two years, with the 2019 Florida High School Wrestling State Championships taking place March 8-9, and the 2019 Florida High School Dual Wrestling State Championships occurring on Jan. 25-26.
