Citizens Field in Gainesville To Host 2017 FHSAA Flag Football State Championships

GAINESVILLE, FL (4/19/17) – The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and the Gainesville Sports Commission have entered into an agreement to host the 2017 Florida High School Flag Football State State Championships May 19-20 at Citizens Field in Gainesville. The contract is for one year with an option to extend the partnership for an additional two years.
 
The FHSAA flag football state semifinals will take place on Friday, May 19, beginning at 10 a.m. The two state championships will then take place the following day beginning at 10 a.m. All six games are will be broadcast live on the NFHS Network via NFHSNetwork.com.
 
General admission tickets will cost $8 at the gate (cash only). Friday’s semifinals and Saturday’s finals will each be considered one session. Parking will be free. For more information on the FHSAA, follow them on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat by searching for “FHSAA.”
