Spring athletic season Academic Team Champions announced; East Lake, St. Thomas Aquinas, Lakewood Ranch, Gulf Breeze, Berkeley Prep, First Academy (Orlando), Southwest Florida Christian and South Walton named overall champions
The Academic Team Champions for the spring of 2011-12 have been announced, as well as the overall classification winners. Each classification and overall sport winner receives a commemorative plaque. For overall classification winners, the top 10 schools in each category received points. Ten points were awarded for a first place finish, nine points for second, etc. Points awarded for teams in single-class sports counted toward the overall standings.
