NFHS approves Rip-It bat for 2012 season
The NFHS has granted an appeal by Rip-It Sporting Goods, to allow the PROB2 bat to be in compliance with NFHS rules. We have received questions regarding the BBCOR placement on the PROB2 bat, since the BBCOR marking was on the tapered part of the bat. Originally, the NFHS deemed these bats illegal per NFHS Rule 1-3-2d. After an appeal process, the NFHS granted the appeal for these bats to be legal for this year only.
Rip-It has two BBCOR bats: The PROB RELOADED and the PROB 2. Both bats have the BBCOR logo on the tapered part of the bat. The only way the Reloaded is legal is if it has the word “Recertified” on it.
Please check your bat to make sure it’s legal.
