Fall athletic season Academic Team Champions announced

The Academic Team Champions for the fall of 2011 have been announced, as well as the overall classification standings. Each classification and overall sport winner receives a commemorative plaque. For overall classification winners, the top 10 schools in each category will receive points. Ten points will be awarded for a first place finish, nine points for second, etc. The school in each class with the highest cumulative point total for the entire school year will get a special award. Points awarded for teams in single-class sports will still count toward the overall standings.
