First female on FHSAA Board of Directors, Dr. Glenda Crawford, passes away
Dr. Glenda Crawford, the first-ever female elected to the FHSAA Board of Directors, passed away Tuesday in Miami. She was 77.
Dr. Crawford served as principal of Southwest Miami Senior High School, as well as other administrative positions in the Miami-Dade County school system. She retired in 2009 from an administrative position at Gulliver Schools in Pinecrest. While at Southwest Miami in the early 1980s, Dr. Crawford became the first female elected to the FHSAA Board and served as its Vice President.
