Ten-year policy adopted for football helmets

The National Athletic Equipment Reconditioners Association (NAERA) announced the new 10-year policy adopted in their winter meeting. This policy will become effective at the start of the reconditioning season Sept. 1, 2011 for the 2012 football season. The 10 years shall be determined by the manufactures date as required by NOCSAE document 001.
