St. Petersburg Catholic’s Gerdes elected to Board of Directors

John Gerdes, athletic director at St. Petersburg Catholic High School, was elected to the FHSAA Board of Directors in a run-off election that was held last week.  Gerdes will serve a three-year term on the Board, beginning with the September of 2011 meeting.
 
In other run-off elections, Ken Roland, athletic director at Fernandina Beach High School, Laura Figueredo, athletic director at Plant High School (Tampa) and Joe Zaccheo, athletic director at Monsignor Pace High School (Miami) were elected to Sectional Appeals Committees in Sections 1, 3 and 4, respectively.  Each of them will be serve three-year terms that will commence with the August 2011 hearings.
