Dodge, FHSAA sign 3-year renewal to corporate sponsorship deal
GAINESVILLE – The Florida High School Athletic Association and Dodge have signed a new three-year corporate partnership agreement, FHSAA Executive Director and Commissioner John A. Stewart announced today.
The agreement stipulates that Dodge will continue to be the “Official Car and/or Truck of the FHSAA,” and will be the “Title Sponsor” of the Dodge FHSAA Football Finals state championship games and the Dodge Sunshine Cup All-Sports Awards Program through the 2009-10 school year.
“We are extremely excited that our relationship with Dodge will continue,” Stewart said. “The Florida High School Athletic Association is extremely grateful for the interest in high school athletics Dodge has shown. Its support has enabled the Association to enhance the services it provides its member schools and the student-athletes who represent them.
“Dodge and the FHSAA both share a commitment to excellence,” Stewart continued. “It’s a natural partnership."
“Dodge is proud to continue its involvement with the FHSAA,” said Tom Myers, Florida Dodge Dealers President. “Being involved in high school athletics has given Dodge an opportunity to gain a presence at the grass-roots level. Families need vehicles to get to and from athletic events. Building equity with the FHSAA has given Dodge an opportunity to gain awareness with families and their young student-athletes."
PHD-US of Detroit represented Dodge in the contract negotiations. The FHSAA was represented by Youth Sports Marketing LLC of Jacksonville, FL.
