Flag football finals relocate to West Boca Raton

GAINESVILLE – The 2006 FHSAA Flag Football Finals state championship tournament, originally set for Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, has been relocated eight miles west to West Boca Raton High School, the FHSAA Office announced today.

The relocation was necessitated by hurricane damage to Spanish River's stadium that has not yet been repaired. Boca Raton High School will continue as the host school.

"We are grateful to West Boca Raton High School principal Fran Giblin and athletic director Dave Currier for offering their facility on such short notice," Commissioner John A. Stewart said.

The two-day tournament will be held May 5-6.
