Fourth episode of Dodge High School Sports Report airs Tuesday, Dec. 20

GAINESVILLE – The 2005 fall sports season has officially come to a close. Through hurricanes and delays, the Dodge High School Sports Report crew has traveled the entire state to bring you highlights of all seven state tournaments. The show airs today (Tuesday Dec. 20) at 4:30 p.m.

Coverage includes:

• Highlights of the swimming and diving finals as Alan Hurwitz is in Fort Lauderdale to see which school dominated.
• Highlights of both state football championship weekends where Christina Vitale and Jason Alpert are in Miami enjoying the sun.
• Highlights of the bowling state tournament, where a twist in the boys’ competition took place. Was Deland able to hold on for another championship?

In other features, Bernie Guenther goes inside the strategy of the American Heritage soccer teams.

John Dunlap heads over to the Suwannee Bulldog wrestling team, where a legacy continues.

Eric Keaton introduces us to a former two-sport athlete from Clearwater, who gave up a college sports career to join the United States Marine Corps after Sept. 11, 2001.

Lastly, we’ll take you to Jacksonville where Lee Gordon checks in on J. T. Townsend, who was paralyzed one year ago while playing football at Episcopal High.

“The Dodge High School Sports Report” re-airs: Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 11:30 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 22 at 4 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 23 at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 4:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Dec. 29 at 3 a.m.
