The FHSAA office has issued the following advisory concerning Hurricane Wilma. Member school personnel should monitor this advisory for the latest information concerning the approaching storm's impact on the interscholastic sports program.
FOOTBALL (POSTED: 12:15 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005)
All games are to be played as scheduled unless otherwised noted. Contact your opponent to make any changes to dates or game times. Schools are encouraged to work together and move football games to Thursday, Saturday or Monday as necessary due to the storm. All district football games must be played no later than Saturday, October 29, 2005. Please email any date changes to

GOLF (UPDATED: 3:20 p.m. EDT, Friday, Oct. 21, 2005)
The 2005 FHSAA Golf Finals state tournament, originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 25-26, has been postponed until Tuesday and Wedneday, Nov. 1-2. The optional practice round and pretournament coaches meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 31. Administrators or coaches with questions at that time should call Cecelia Jackson, golf administrator, at (352) 372-9551 ext. 280.
FALL SOCCER (POSTED: 4:30 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005)
The 2005 FHSAA Fall Soccer Finals state tournament has been postponed from Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28-29, to Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4-5. The first-round play-in games scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 25, have been rescheduled to Friday, Oct. 28.
SWIMMING & DIVING (UPDATED: 4:30 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005)
The FHSAA office is addressing updates to date and site changes for district swimming & diving meets. Please check the
district meets information page to view changes. Currently, there have been no changes made to the plans for next week's regional meets. Schools, however, are encouraged to monitor the
regional meets information page for changes that may occur as a result of the storm.
Regional qualifiers will be posted when all three districts in a regional complex are completed and reported to the FHSAA Office. Due to some districts postponing their meets to next week, however, this process may not completed until the day prior to regional meet competition. Schools in affected regions should continue to monitor the
results index page for updates.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL (UPDATED: 9:45 a.m. EDT, Monday, Oct. 24, 2005)
2005 FHSAA Girls Volleyball Championships
brackets have been updated to reflect regional quarterfinal matches that have been postponed from Tuesday, Oct. 25, to either Wednesday, Oct. 26, or Thursday, Oct. 27. Additional adjustments may be made if they become necessary.
