Clearwater's Grasso wins re-election to FHSAA Board of Directors

GAINESVILLE – Incumbent Nick Grasso, principal of Clearwater High School, narrowly defeated Sonny Hester, assistant principal of Brandon High School, in the Association's only run-off election this year to win a second term on the FHSAA Board of Directors, the FHSAA Office announced Tuesday.

Grasso received 30 votes to Hester's 26 to retain the Section 3 public school seat on the Board of Directors through the 2006-07 school year.

Hester previously had served on the Board of Directors for six years in the Section 3 private school seat while athletic director at Tampa's Jesuit High School.
