FHSAA announces results of elections for seats on fall sports advisory committees
GAINESVILLE The Florida High School Activities Association has completed the tabulation of ballots from recently held elections to fill seats on advisory committees in the sports of cross country, football, golf, swimming & diving and girls volleyball; as well as the Athletic Directors Advisory Committee.
Head coaches at all member schools, other than those whose terms were expiring on the committees, were eligible for election to the advisory committees in their respective sports. Likewise, athletic directors at all member schools, other than those whose terms were expiring on the committee, were eligible for election to the Athletic Directors Advisory Committee.
Sports advisory committees meet annually to review their respective programs and make recommendations to the FHSAA Board of Directors for changes to the Association's regulations governing those programs.
The Athletic Directors Advisory Committee meets three times annually to review the recommendations made by sports advisory committees, and to make recommendations of their own to the FHSAA Board of Directors.
Terms on advisory committees are for two years.

Meeting dates for these committees for the 1999-00 school year are as follows: cross country, Dec. 14; football, Dec. 15; golf, Dec. 14; swimming & diving, Dec. 13; and girls volleyball, Dec. 13. The next meeting of the Athletic Directors Advisory Committee is Jan. 12, 2000.
