Composition and Purpose The Officials Advisory Committee is comprised of 28 members (one official from each administrative section in each of the seven sanctioned sports in which officials are registered by the FHSAA) elected by FHSAA-registered officials in good standing, as well as the Florida's representative to the National Federation Officials Association (NFOA) who shall have no vote. The Officials Advisory Committee meets twice annually to review and evaluate the FHSAA Officials Program, to recommend to the FHSAA Board of Directors any changes to the program it deems appropriate, and to offer advice and guidance to the Board of Directors and FHSAA staff. The committee is not a rules-making body. Its recommendations are advertised for one school year and reviewed by the committee at its meeting the following year before being forwarded to the Board of Directors for consideration.
