9. Old Business—Carryover recommendations from 2002 meeting

2002 Recommendation #1: Establish a dual meet team tournament.
1) The FHSAA Board tabled this in June 2002, pending revisions to the FHSAA Calendar.
2) Head wrestling coaches will be surveyed at the 2003 state tournament regarding the possible options.

10. New Business (additional items may be added prior to March 11, 2003)

2003 Recommendation #1: Add to 8.041, “Each wrestler’s minimum certified weight class shall be established by using an FHSAA approved procedure. Approved procedures shall include (a) Hydration and (b) Body Fat Composition Testing. A wrestler may not loose more than 1_ % body fat per week. Appropriate record keeping procedures must be maintained by the school to monitor this requirement.”

2003 Recommendation #2: Add a new 8.052 (and renumber remaining sections) to read, “All weigh-ins shall be conducted by an FHSAA registered wrestling official.”

2003 Recommendation #3: Change 3.032 to read, “Tournaments shall be limited to a field of 16 teams. Tournaments may include up to 32 teams if held during a holiday period. Single elimination…”
