a. Amendment to Policy 30 “Unsportsmanlike Conduct” • McLaughlin
PROPOSAL
Amend Policy 30, “Policy on Unsportsmanlike Conduct,” as follows:
Create new paragraph 2(c) to read: “Effective with the third disqualification (ejection) of a student for ‘gross unsportsmanlike conduct’ (as defined in FHSAA Bylaw 11.11.2) in a sport, the school’s program in that sport shall immediately be placed on administrative probation for one or more years. Effective with the fifth disqualification (ejection) of a student for ‘gross unsportsmanlike conduct’ in a sport during the regular season, the school’s program in that sport shall immediately be placed on restrictive probation and restricted from participating in state series competition in that sport for one or more years. The probationary period shall be in addition to any financial penalties that may also be imposed in accordance with the provisions of this policy.”
