8. Old Business—Carryover recommendations from 2001 meeting

2001 Recommendation #1: Establish a standard pre-match protocol during the state series. The recommended protocol is the following.
1) 25 minute pre-match warm-up.
2) All players line-up on the end line.
3) National anthem and presentation of colors, first match of session (optional, if materials available)
4) All players lined up on end line. Each player will be introduced. Step forward when name is called. Officials introduced.
5) Officials whistle for the team handshake.
6) Coach addresses team at bench area for 1 minute.
7) Starters go to the court, non-starters stay on the bench.
8) Match begins.

2001 Recommendation #2: Establish a pre-“Pre-Match Warm-up Period. There was some concern expressed (reflected in vote against) that if both teams were not present prior to 25-minute warm-up that one team would be gaining an advantage with additional warm-up time on the playing court.

2002 Recommendation #1: Change 6.001 to read, “All invitational touranments involving three 3 four (4) or more schools….”
