Participation Limitation
Below are options available relative to the participation limitation as found in 2005 NFHS Track and Field rule 4-2-1 and 2.
1. Remain Status quo
1. Maximum 5 events of which 3 may be running
2. Adopt NFHS Rule with no modification
1. Maximum 4 events with any combination
3. Adopt NFHS Rule with modifications, i.e.
1. Maximum 4 events of which 3 may be running
2. Maximum number of individual events
3. Maximum number of events involving lap races
4. Combination of NFHS rule with no modification and modified rule based on meet itself
1. For meets allowing prelims and finals 4 events of which 3 maximum are running
2. For meets allowing finals only any combination of 4 events
5. Modify state series qualifying methods (this allows two classes to be run simultaneously)
1. Top 8 or 9 qualify and advance to state finals run finals only
2. Top 16 qualify and advance; and create a two-day state finals meet, which runs prelims and finals on separate days
