Jones named Assistant Executive Director for Athletic Services

Dr. Peggy Jones, the recently retired principal of Sebastian River High School (Sebastian), has been named the Assistant Executive Director for Athletic Services for the FHSAA.

Jones brings 35 years of professional educational service to students, having served as a coach, athletic director, teacher, assistant principal and high school principal. She headed a list of about 18 applicants for the position. Jones will manage the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Services department and serve as the liaison to Florida's 7,000 contest officials.

Jones begins her new position on Monday, August 17.
