Boys Weightlifting Advisory Committee to hold elections again
Due to a glitch in the online process last year, the election for the boys weightlifting advisory committee was not completed. However, the FHSAA has decided to run a full election again, once school starts, in order to replace the outgoing committee members and the vacant seats.
With the election process not set to take place until after the school year begins, the regularly scheduled meeting for Aug. 31 has been postponed. The new date will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010, after the next state final has taken place. This change of date is not affecting any action items for the 2009-10 season.
This will be beneficial as it allows for a full election to take place and all vacant seats to be filled. Additionally, it allows a date where members who also coach football can participate in the meeting.
