Avenging a 2017 runner-up finish, Wildwood out-dueled Blountstown 62-56 to claim the 2018 Class 1A Boys Basketball State Championship, the school's second ever boys basketball title and first since 1953.

Miami Christian claimed a third title in four years with a 59-46 hard-fought victory over Impact Christian (Jacksonville) in the 2018 Class 2A Boys Basketball State Championship Game.

Lake Mary took the top spot for the third consecutive year and claimed its sixth overall team crown in history at the 2017 Class 3A Girls Golf State Championships from the Mission Inn & Resort.

For the third consecutive year, Navarre claimed the Girls Weightlifting 2A State Championship, giving them five team titles in the last six years. The 2018 event was held at Arnold High School in Panama City Beach.

In a highly defensive game, Dr. Phllips (Orlando) avenged its 2016 runner-up finish and edged out Atlantic (Delray Beach) 17-7 to claim the school's first ever football state title during the 2017 championship event held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Wewahitchka claimed the school's third softball state championship by defeating Trenton 2-1 in the 2018 Class 1A title game at Historic Dodgertown in Vero Beach.

Bolles (Jacksonville), led by top individual finisher Charles Hicks, placed five runners in the top-13 to earn the 2017 Class 2A Boys Cross Country State Championship at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.

Ponte Vedra outpaced perennial powers American Heritage (Plantation) and Bishop Moore (Orlando) en route to the Class 2A Boys Golf State Championships from the Mission Inn & Resort. Stewart Slayden of Ponte Vedra also took home medalist honors for the event.

Competition at the 2018 Track & Field State Championships from UNF's Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville. In Class 2A, Hallandale swept both the boys and girls divisions, claiming the team title for both.

St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park) made it seven titles in a row with a 6-0 win over Miami Country Day at the 2018 Girls Soccer Class 1A State Championships held at Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand.
