Oxbridge Academy (West Palm Beach) claimed its first girls soccer title with a 3-2 victory over Montverde at the 2017 Class 2A Soccer State Championships held in DeLand.

After appearing in the state tournament eight previous times, South Fork claimed its first ever title, taking home the Class 7A crown at West Port High School in Ocala during the 2016 Girls Volleyball State Championships.

St. John Lutheran (Ocala) was back for revenge. After a runner-up finish in 2015, they upended Geneva (Winter Park) to lock down the 2016 Girls 2A Volleyball State Championship during the event at West Port High School.

American Heritage (Plantation) outlasted Ponte Vedra 35-33 to win the 2016 Class 5A State Championship crown at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
